Brown University’s two-year Master of Science in Cybersecurity delivers the advanced interdisciplinary education to protect dynamic global information systems. Applicants can study online or on campus, choose a Computer Science or Policy track and begin in either fall or spring.
Rooted in a tradition of innovation, the master’s in cybersecurity program features an interdisciplinary curriculum that provides sophisticated technical skills and a comprehensive understanding of technology, policy and business. You’ll gain intellectual and scientific frameworks for approaching novel cybersecurity challenges, assess security and privacy implications of emerging technologies and develop methods for understanding threat intelligence through class exercises.
With terms starting in the fall or spring, this program offers the following degree with two track options:
- Master of Science (Sc.M.) Online or on-campus
- Computer science track
- Policy track (Offered in collaboration with the Watson School of International and Public Affairs)
- Brown undergraduates can apply to this online program for a fifth-year master’s degree.
- The program offers both a fall and spring start
Through your coursework, you’ll explore diverse cybersecurity issues, including technological advances, economic factors, legal considerations, socio-political influences and evolving policy landscapes.
