About the programme

The MSc in Forest & Nature Management focuses on sustainable use and management of forest and nature areas, combining ecology, economics, quantitative modelling and social science. As an international programme, it prepares you for careers in research, private companies, public authorities, NGOs, or international organisations, contributing to sustainable forest and nature management worldwide.

Programme structure

The programme consists of compulsory courses, thematic courses, restricted elective and elective courses and a thesis.

Instruction is in the form of lectures, seminars, practical and theoretical exercises, and there will be a good deal of project work. You will be working both independently and in project groups. Excursions and field work constitute major elements of the programme. This allows you to learn to solve problems in, for example, private companies or organisations.
