Explore the mathematical world with our Enrichment Mathematics Programme

The programme covers both pure and applied mathematics. With a solid foundation in pure mathematics, students can develop a feasible research path in advanced mathematics, statistics and computer science. Students can also enrol in the double stream of Enrichment Mathematics, and Computational and Applied Mathematics (CAM). The knowledge acquired in applied mathematics courses, such as numerical computations and contemporary techniques of big data analytics, can lead students to the realm of applied sciences, covering finance, engineering, business, marketing and medical research.

  • Wide Curriculum: The Department offers a wide range of courses in both pure and applied mathematics. Students can choose elective courses according to their interest and stream orientation.
  • Highly Flexible Curriculum: Students have a high degree of freedom in choosing their preferred minor programme. The most popular are statistics, computer-related programmes, business administration, and economics.
  • Experiential Learning Opportunity: There are plenty of training opportunities for our students. In addition to lectures, our undergraduates can enrich their learning experience in our China and Overseas Summer Internship and Exchange (COSINE) programme and Undergraduate Research Opportunity Programme (UROP).
