Offered by the School of Chinese Medicine, Master of Chinese Medicine is targeted on applicants who have completed a non-Chinese Medicine majored Bachelor’s Degree and are interested in pursuing advanced study in theories and clinical practice in Chinese Medicine. This is the unique Master programme in Hong Kong which enables graduates to sit for the Chinese Medicine Practitioner Licensing Examination organized by the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong upon completion of the Programme.

Initiated by the School of Chinese Medicine since September 2000, the Master of Chinese Medicine Programme aims to provide advanced training in Chinese Medicine for University graduates.

The Master of Chinese Medicine is a four-year full-time programme, which consists of the Pre-clinical Programme (3 years) and the Clinical Programme (1 years). Coursework requirements are as follows.

Students are required to complete courses on Chinese medical concepts, specialties in Chinese medicine and basic medical and life sciences in the Pre-clinical Programme (3 years). Students will then receive advanced clinical training by attaching to a Chinese medicine hospital in the Mainland and/ or a specialty clinic in Hong Kong (1 year).
