Powering the future with wind-driven engineering

Wind energy is one of the fastest-growing sources of renewable electricity and a key technology in the global energy transition. If you choose to study Wind Energy, you gain in-depth knowledge of the technologies and systems that enable large-scale wind power.

You learn how wind turbines and wind farms are designed, analysed, and operated. The programme combines core engineering disciplines, including aerodynamics, structural mechanics, electrical engineering, and energy systems.

Through this multidisciplinary approach, you develop the skills needed to understand the entire wind energy system –from the aerodynamic behaviour of turbine blades to the integration of wind power into modern electricity grids.

The programme is closely connected to leading research environments and the wind energy industry. You work with research-based methods, industry-relevant case studies, and advanced simulation tools used in modern wind energy engineering.

Many courses involve project work and collaboration, where you develop solutions together with other students. This gives you insight into current technological challenges and prepares you to develop the next generation of efficient wind energy technologies.
